Frequently asked Questions
How do I get my tapes to you?You can Mail, FedEx or UPS your tapes to us at: Abaco Multi-Media, 6512 W 14th Street, PMB28, Bradenton, FL 34207. We know your tapes are valuable to you so we recommend that you either use UPS or FedEx or ask for a delivery confirmation when using the Postal Service. We will return your tapes to you via UPS Ground unless otherwise requested. Make sure to include your shipping address and a money order for the amount due (Make out to Abaco Multi Media). Back to TopHow long will it take?Generally, your Video CDs will be sent to you within 72 hrs. from receipt of your tape(s). If we are very busy we will inform you via e-mail when your tapes are being sent. Web Video Files can be uploaded right to your website or sent as an e-mail attachment. You will also receive a basic template page that contains the proper link(s) to your streaming file(s). Turnaround time for Web Files is also 72 hours. We will return your video CDs to you via UPS ground. Back to TopWhat kind of Quality can I expect?A Video CD has a 352 line resolution (about the same as a VHS tape) and we consider Video CDs "near VHS' quality. The Video quality will be equally good played back on a Macintosh, PC or Video Disc (DVD) Player The quality of Streaming Video files will depend on the connection speed of your users. If you are catering mainly to dial up modem users, your video will either be mastered for maximum clarity or for smooth playback., a file created for Broadband (Cable, DSL, T1) users will be clear and play back smoothly. Many customers put different files for Dial Up users and Broadband users on their site to offer the best of both worlds. Back to TopHow many minutes of video fits on a CD?At near VHS quality, up to 40 minutes of video will fit on one Video CD. At slightly lower quality, up to one hour can be placed on one CD. If you need higher quality and longer times (up to two hours) we can create a DVD for you. This DVD will not play back on CD-Rom drives, only on DVDs or DVD Players but offers broadcast quality and run times of up to 2 hours.
